Services & Accepted Wastes

At Susquehanna Transfer we specialize in working with residential/consumer solid waste, commercial/business solid waste, construction and debris waste, industrial solid waste and residual waste. In addition, we are also permitted to accept all PADEP 800-Series Residual Waste Codes.

ACT 90:

All vehicles with a registered gross vehicle weight greater than 17,000 lbs., and trailers with a registered gross vehicle weight greater than 10,000 lbs. transporting municipal, C&D, or residual waste must have a valid Waste Transporter Authorization. Susquehanna Transfer is prohibited from accepting waste from haulers that do not have a valid Act 90 authorization.

Please keep in mind that we do not currently accept any refrigeration electronics at the facility. Also, recycling is not available at the facility however, you may contact Susquehanna County Recycling Center located at 133 Ellsworth Drive, Montrose, Pa 18801 by calling (570) 278-3589.

Important Information

The following things are not accepted at transfer:

Asbestos, Batteries, Computers, Electronics, Flammables, and Paint (we can take empty, dry paint cans).

Public Disposal - prices effective January 1, 2023

$120.00 P/TON.

Minimum 1/2 ton charge $60.00 (anything less than 1,000lbs)

Single Bag Disposal - prices effective January 1, 2023

$5.00 Per Bag - Bags weighing over 30 lbs. will be charged for an additional bag.
